Chrysalis Investments Limited is a self-managed vehicle comprising of an independent board supported by a team of external consultants.

Andrew Haining

Chairperson – Independent

Andrew has served as Chairperson of Chrysalis Investments since October 2018, providing leadership and oversight on behalf of shareholders over the past eight years, and most recently overseeing the Company’s transition to a self-managed structure. Andrew has extensive directorial experience and holds several Guernsey and UK board positions. He has a 30-year career in banking and private equity with Bank of America, CDC (now Bridgepoint) and Botts & Company. During his career, Andrew has been responsible for over 20 private equity investments with transactional values in excess of $1 billion.

Stephen Coe

Senior Independent Director

Stephen serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee and was appointed to the Board in 2018. He has been involved with offshore investment funds and managers since 1990, with significant exposure to property, debt, emerging markets and private equity investments. Stephen qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse Bristol in 1990 and has experience across audit, financial services, fiduciary companies and investment trusts. Alongside Chrysalis, he has served as a Non-Executive Director of River and Mercantile UK Micro Cap Investment Company Limited.

Margaret O’Connor

Independent

Margaret was appointed an Independent Director in September 2021. Margaret has a 30-year career building value in global technology companies across the US, Asia, Africa, and Europe, and experience of guiding boards through investments in disruptive technologies, including AI, big data, AR, and blockchain. She has been instrumental in starting up two Mauritius domiciled, pan-African technology investment funds, chairing and advising London-based funds investing in Africa, and was previously a Silicon Valley VC-funded MarketingTech entrepreneur and a founding member of the MasterCard Asia Pacific management team in Singapore and the MasterCard Global New Technology Communications group in New York. She is a member of the Institute of Directors and a nominee for the Private Equity Women Investor Network (PEWIN.org).

Sam Dobbyn

Independent

Sam was appointed to the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director in February 2026 to oversee the transition of Chrysalis Investments to a self-managed fund and to manage the company’s investments going forwards. He now leads the execution of the company’s investment strategy, working closely with the portfolio company management teams to maximise value for shareholders throughout the realisation process. Sam has significant experience in public markets, investment realisations and corporate strategy. He is currently Non-Executive Director of Allied Minds PLC and was previously CEO and CFO of Urban Exposure PLC, where he oversaw the orderly wind-down and return of capital to shareholders.
