Nick Williamson

Managing Partner

Nick is a Managing Partner at Chrysalis Investment Partners and a member of the investment team. Previously Nick worked as a Co-Fund Manager of Chrysalis Investments at Jupiter Asset Management and was a UK Smaller Companies Fund Manager while both at Jupiter and, prior to that, Merian Global Investors, where he was also a UK equities analyst. Additionally, he has over a decade of experience as a sell-side analyst, having taken on a broad range of responsibilities, most recently at Citigroup. Nick began his investment career in 1995. He has a BA in Economics from Durham University and is a CFA® charterholder.

Richard Watts

Managing Partner

Richard is a Managing Partner at Chrysalis Investment Partners and a member of the investment team. Previously, Richard was the Co-Fund Manager of Chrysalis Investments and Head of Strategy within the Jupiter UK Small and Mid Cap team. Prior to Jupiter, Richard worked at Merian Global Investors (now part of Jupiter) as a UK mid-cap portfolio manager, and as an equity analyst at Orbis Investment Advisory. He has previously also held the role of senior associate in the Investment Management division of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Before beginning his investment career in 1998, Richard attained a degree in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Oxford. He is also IIMR-qualified and is a CFA® charterholder.

Mike Stewart

Lead Investment Analyst

Mike is a Partner at Chrysalis Investment Partners and a member of the investment team. He was previously the Lead Analyst for Chrysalis Investments within the Jupiter UK Small and Mid Cap team. Prior to this, Mike was an associate at private equity firm 8c Capital. Additionally, Mike was also a Fund Manager at Belerion Capital and an Equity Analyst at Panmure Gordon. He holds a BA in Business Finance from Durham University.

Carmen Azad

Investment Specialist

Carmen is a Partner at Chrysalis Investment Partners and a member of the investment team. Carmen previously worked at Jupiter Asset Management as an Investment Specialist providing support to the UK equities team. Carmen initially joined Old Mutual Asset Managers in 2000 as an investment assistant and worked alongside the Head of UK equities to launch and develop the UK small-cap desk, which became the Merian UK mid and small cap team. Carmen holds the CFA UK – Investment Management Certificate.

Rebecca Whiting

Head of Finance and Operations

Bekki is a Partner at Chrysalis Investment Partners and the Head of Finance and Operations. Prior to this, Bekki worked at Jupiter Asset Management as the Director of Finance for Chrysalis Investments. Coming from an experienced background, Bekki has held senior finance roles at Big Society Capital, as well as the Pension Protection Fund, Apax Partners, and Invensys. Bekki is a Chartered Accountant and has a BSc Hons in Accounting and Financial Management from Loughborough University.

James Simpson

Head of Legal and Compliance

James is a Partner at Chrysalis Investment Partners and the Head of Legal and Compliance. Previously, James was the in-house transactional lawyer and Legal Counsel for Fund Managers for Chrysalis Investments. Prior to this, James was an associate solicitor in the private equity and M&A team at Travers Smith. He began his career in Asset Management in 2017. James has a degree in Economics from the University of Strathclyde and undertook his postgraduate legal studies at the College of Law in London.
